500 Haight Street Apartments are located in the heart of the historical Haight & Ashbury District of San Francisco. This Victorian-style building was built in the early 1900’s and includes two stories that hold 20 residential units, as well as a plethora of diverse retail spaces on the ground floor. The project required scaffolding that was completely enclosed in shrink wrap in order to contain lead-contaminated paint chips. McLaughlin Painting utilized all EPA-regulated Lead Safe Renovation procedures to prepare the surface areas of the building. We worked closely with a color consultant to create an eight color scheme that included urethane gold metallic paint for decorative trim and a reflective tinted clear coat. Permitting, parking management, and coordination with municipal and public transportation was all handled in-house without any issues or violations throughout the five month project.
